KPCL is looking for experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our maintenance team at our newly expanded facility near Clavet, Saskatchewan (about 10 minutes east of Saskatoon).

Travel to project locations to support remote maintenance teams will be part of this role. Generally, our project operations are Saskatchewan-based, however, we do work across the western provinces at times.

About you:

• You have experience developing work scopes and schedules for maintenance and overhaul rebuilds
• You enjoy working with large equipment – dozers, graders, excavators, scrapers, and haul trucks (safety certification is an asset)
• You consider yourself to have strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, experience with CAT SIS is an asset
• You can read electrical and hydraulic schematics
• You want to work with minimal supervision and are inspired to lead and mentor others sharing your knowledge in a professional manner
• You are committed to continued learning
• You have a basic knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft 365
• You can meet pre-employment conditions, including passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol test (including cannabis) and having a valid driver’s license

KPCL is seeking a Project Controller who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environments to manage project payables and paying vendors in accordance to contract specifications.

Where You’ll Be Working:

This position can be based at either the KPCL Clavet Office, about 15 minutes east of Saskatoon off Highway 16, or KPCL Estevan Office.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage project payables and pay vendors in accordance to contract specifications, including but not limited to reconciling and job costing subcontractor invoices, calculating holdback releases, tracking change orders, forecasting cashflow requirements, and so on
• Prepare and submit invoices to clients for in-scope progress payments, out of scope billable hours and any other material or equipment costs, accounting for calculated holdback releases
• Track costs, change management and job progress, and prepare quarterly job reports to update stakeholders and management
• Assist the project management teams with specific requests and requirements
• Complete key duties and responsibilities accurately and thoroughly
• Adhere to government, provincial regulations and taxes to ensure compliance
• Actively participating, promoting and engaging others in a culture of safety amongst employees, subcontractors and clients
• Other related duties as necessary

What You Bring:

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, CPA designation is preferred
• Experience: 3-5 years of post-graduate accounting experience, with a background in construction helpful
• Industry Exposure: Experience working outside of a corporate office environment
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence individuals in different disciplines and at different levels
• Motivation: Energized by complexity and challenges, thriving in dynamic and evolving environments
• Adaptability: Quick to respond to changes while maintaining alignment with long term direction
• Regulatory Knowledge: Adhere to government, provincial regulations and taxes to ensure compliance
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, we use Explorer Eclipse as our primary accounting program
